JOANNE ZITEK

Joanne Zitek is an organization development consultant, who helps corporate, nonprofit and government clients with organization change. Joanne specializes in board development, diversity and global intercultural issues. She has consulted to corporations in the financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, high technology, publishing, energy, consumer products, communications and food industries. She has also consulted to the U.S. and foreign governments, and to healthcare systems, higher education and other nonprofit organizations. Her background includes human resources development, organization development, management, board development, community relations and facilitation of international cross-cultural and business activities.

Formerly, as Manager of the BoardBank of the United Way, Joanne provided board development services to over 55 organizations, assisting many of them to diversify racially and ethnically. At Fidelity Investments, as Director of Management Development, she created and managed a system that developed all new managers for Fidelity's national investor center network, in addition to other assignments. At Bank of Boston (now Bank of America), she managed the design, development, implementation and evaluation of large-scale development systems to support the business strategy. She has also held positions in the food and utility industries.

Ms. Zitek holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an Ed.M. from Boston University.

DEBORA BLOOM

Debora Bloom is an organization development consultant specializing in workforce diversity, harassment prevention, performance management and leadership development. For the past 20 years, she has consulted to many technology, health care, manufacturing, financial service, government,educational, and not-for-profit organizations on effectively managing the human side of their businesses.

Before establishing her own firm in 1986, Debora held human resource development positions at Wang Laboratories and Digital Equipment Corporation. Prior to that she was a hospital department head and taught in the management programs of several universities. She brings an international perspective and Spanish language fluency to her work. She served in the Peace Corps in Colombia and has since consulted in many Latin American countries as well as in Nigeria, Hong Kong and Belgium. These provide her a foundation for helping organizations address intercultural challenges they face.

In addition to her diversity, international, and management development experience she has developed and installed performance management and career development programs and guided organizations through strategic planning processes.

Debora is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and serves on the Diversity Committee of the New England Human Resources Association. She is active in a community project to promote productive dialogue among different racial and ethnic groups. Debora holds an M.A. from New York University and completed doctoral studies in organizational development at Harvard and MIT.
